hurooq presented a composed and narrative-driven showcase at Bridal Couture Week, which began in Lahore as the year comes to a close. Placing emphasis on storytelling alongside craftsmanship, the collection balanced heritage techniques with contemporary silhouettes, framing bridal wear as both cultural expression and commentary.
Actor Saba Qamar walked as the showstopper, representing the brand’s vision of a modern Shurooq bride defined by confidence and self-awareness. The presentation was choreographed and directed by Frieha Altaf of Catwalk Event Management, with movement choreography by Daniya Kanwal. A voice over by Anwar Maqsood, accompanied by the Pamaal original soundtrack, shaped the emotional tone of the show. Styling was led by Mamoon, with makeup by Nauman Paul for Qamar and Nabila’s team for the models.
The framework conceptually drew from socially focused television drama Pamaal. Through bridal couture, the showcase referenced the pressures women face within domestic spaces, workplaces and joint family systems, where individual identity is shaped by expectation and duty. Themes of endurance, constraint, harassment, fragmentation and self-discovery were reflected in the progression of the collection.
Each ensemble marked a shift from restraint towards assertion, suggesting a gradual reclaiming of voice and agency.
Shurooq’s presentation distinguished itself through a measured approach to design, narrative and cultural context. In doing so, the collection offered a reflective lens on craftsmanship, culture and the lived realities shaping modern women.
