ISLAMABAD: Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah on Thursday issued a fresh non-bailable arrest warrant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi over non-appearance in a case concerning the levelling of misleading allegations against the state institutions.

Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah heard the case and directed Afridi to be in the court by June 8.

Afridi and his lawyers did not appear in the court on Thursday, on which the court issued a fresh non-bailable arrest warrant for the chief minister.

Earlier, on April 13, the court had also issued an arrest warrant for Afridi. The court adjourned the case hearing until June 8. The NCCIA had registered a case against Afridi under the PECA Act.
