LAHORE:Lahore General Hospital has successfully completed the installation of three new Reverse Osmosis water filtration plants with the financial support of philanthropists.
These plants will provide continuous access to clean and hygienic drinking water to patients, their attendants, hospital staff and residents of the hospital colony. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Principal Ameer-ud-Din Medical College (AMC) Prof Dr Farooq Afzal termed the initiative a significant step towards improving public health.
He stated that the installation of RO plants in the Emergency Department, Surgical Block and Phase-I Outdoor & Indoor areas will benefit more than 30,000 people daily, marking a substantial improvement in the hospital’s essential facilities. Prof Farooq personally inspected to verify its quality. During a media briefing, Prof Farooq and Prof Faryad Hussain said that clean drinking water is a fundamental human right, and those who invest their resources in the welfare of others earn immense reward both in this world and the hereafter.
