LAHORE:Punjab Ombudsman Office has organised a virtual international training session in collaboration with the Federal Ombudsman Institution of Belgium to familiarise its officers and staff with global best practices, working methods, and complaint-handling procedures followed in Belgium.
According to a press release issued here on Monday, the session provided a structured platform for productive exchange of ideas between the Belgian Ombudsman Office and participants from the Punjab Ombudsman.
Deputy Director (I&C) Noor ul Ain Zafar represented the Punjab Ombudsman Office, while advisers and officers from various wings of the Punjab office attended the training. Greet van Gool, Director at the Belgium Ombudsman Institution, delivered a comprehensive briefing on the organisation’s mandate, complaint registration and investigation procedures, decision-making processes, citizen engagement strategies, and implementation mechanisms.
