LAHORE:A delegation of the Association of Former Inspectors General of Police (AFIGP), Punjab-chapter, visited the Central Police Office Lahore. The delegation was led by AFIGP Punjab President and former IG Punjab Ahmad Naseem, along with General Secretary and former Additional IG Ghalib Bandesha, former IGs Captain (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan, Tariq Khosa, Altaf Qamar, and other senior officers.
They were received by IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, Additional IG South Punjab Muhammad Kamran Khan, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, AIG Admin & Security Dr Asad Ijaz Malhi and other senior officials.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed the overall security situation, protection of the state, law enforcement, policy affairs, reforms, policing, training, service delivery, and institutional improvements. Police promotions, welfare, capacity building, and reforms were also reviewed. The former IGs appreciated the improvements made under the current leadership and paid tribute to Punjab Police martyrs for their sacrifices in combating terrorism.
On the occasion, the IGP said the experience and guidance of former IGs has significantly contributed to professional development within the force. AFIGP President Ahmad Naseem announced that the association will conduct regular seminars and training sessions to enhance the professional skills and training of police personnel.
