MANSEHRA: The business community on Sunday demanded strict legal action by police to curb the transportation of mega granite rocks and other minerals from Oghi to different parts of the country.

Waqar Ahmad, a leading trader in Oghi, told reporters that they had repeatedly urged the authorities to impose restrictions on the movement of giant granite-loaded trucks from the tehsil, as the heavy transportation had been damaging roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.

“We have been calling for a complete check on the transportation of mega granite minerals from Oghi to the rest of the country because our roads and public infrastructure are being destroyed due to the continuous movement of these overloaded vehicles,” he said.
