MINGORA: Twenty-nine couples tied the knot at a mass wedding ceremony here on Thursday.The event, stated to be first of its kind in Swat district, was held under the special directives of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur as part of a province-wide initiative to support deserving individuals in starting their married lives with dignity.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zakat and Ushr Department had organized the event in collaboration with the district administration of Swat.The families and relatives of the newlywed couples were treated to a modest yet generous feast at a local wedding hall in Qambar.
