LAHORE: Hot, humid and partly cloudy weather continued to prevail here on Sunday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
The average AQI of the city was 130, which came in the category of unhealthy for sensitive groups while the PM2.5 concentration was 5.2 times the World Health Organisation annual PM2.5 guideline value.
Met officials said a seasonal low lied over north Balochistan and adjoining areas while a ridge of high pressure was present in the upper atmosphere. Moist currents from Arabian Sea were also penetrating southeastern parts of the country.
