PESHAWAR: The newly-notified office-bearers of the Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF) took oath under the leadership of Barrister Sarwar Muzaffar Shah, the president ILF Peshawar division.
The ceremony was attended by prominent provincial leaders and senior members of the legal fraternity. ILF provincial president Ali Zaman administered the oath to the 18-member cabinet while Advocate General Shah Faisal Uthmankhel and Khalid Anwar Afridi, former president of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association and other senior lawyers and officials attended the event.
Addressing the gathering, Barrister Sarwar underscored the importance of unity among lawyers and highlighted their pivotal role in safeguarding the independence of the judiciary.He emphasised the need for continuous training and professional development of young lawyers while also stressing the creation of a conducive work environment for female lawyers.
