LAHORE:Ambassador-designate to Tajikistan M Mudassir Tipu called on Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazalur Rehman at his office at the Punjab Stadium.
During the meeting, Mudassir Tipu, who previously served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran for three years, praised the Punjab govt’s efforts to promote youth programmes, sports and expand opportunities for young athletes.
Secretary Youth Affairs and Mudassir Tipu discussed promotion of sports culture and youth empowerment in detail. Secretary Youth Affairs also briefed him on the sports development programmes currently being implemented across Punjab.
Speaking on the occasion, Fazalur Rehman said that providing equal sporting opportunities to young people across Punjab remains a top priority of the government. “Several sports initiatives are being implemented at an accelerated pace to help nurture and develop the potential of the province’s youth”.
