Fourth quarter performance: KPRA regional office collects over Rs14 billion in revenue

PESHAWAR: The North Regional Office of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has collected over Rs14 billion in revenue since its establishment.

According to an official communication, this was disclosed to KPRA Director General (DG) Irum Naz during her visit to the Regional Office North in Abbottabad on Wednesday to review the region’s performance during the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025-26.

Collector Sales Tax on Services KPRA Muhammad Abbas Khan and Director Administration, HR and Coordination Asma Khyber also accompanied her during the visit.Additional Collector North Region Muhammad Iqbal gave a detailed briefing on the region’s revenue collection performance.

Deputy Collector North Ejaz Ali Khan and Assistant Collector Hizbullah Khan highlighted revenue generated from various sectors and informed the DG that the region had successfully achieved its revenue targets during the first three quarters of the financial year.

The DG was informed that the region had collected Rs3.315 billion so far and was making all-out efforts to achieve its target for the fourth quarter as well.During the briefing, the DG sought details regarding the increase in revenue from certain sectors and the decline in others.

The regional team provided an overview of the factors contributing to these trends and outlined measures being taken to further enhance revenue collection.She also inquired about recoveries in cases referred to the Regional Office North by the KPRA Directorate of Inquiry and Investigation and the Directorate of Tax Audit.

The regional team briefed her on recoveries made from registered entities where audits had been conducted.The DG inquired about revenue collection from the Hattar Industrial Estate and was informed that collections from industrial units in Hattar had exceeded Rs600 million to date.

The team further informed her that an additional Rs200 million in revenue was expected from the estate by the end of June 2026. The deputy collector also informed the meeting that revenue from the hospitality sector had nearly doubled compared to the previous year.

Appreciating the team’s efforts, the DG commended the performance of the North Region and encouraged officers and staff to continue their hard work and dedication.During her visit, the DG also distributed laptops and the latest all-in-one computers among officers of the Regional Office North in response to their requests.

She listened to issues raised by officers and staff regarding logistical requirements and assured them of the authority’s support in addressing these matters to improve operational efficiency.
