LAHORE:The construction of 100,633 houses across the province has so far been completed under CM’s ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ Programme.
The provision of interest-free loans worth more than Rs208 billion has also been ensured. Overall, more than 156,000 families have received interest-free loans for the construction of their houses. As many as 32,412 houses are currently under construction while another 7,792 families will soon receive interest-free loan disbursements.This information was shared by PHATA DG Sikandar Zeeshan while briefing to Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Bilal Yasin during a meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting reviewed statistics regarding loan disbursement, completed houses, and pending applications.Housing Minister Bilal Yasin directed the authorities to further expand the scope of the programme in both urban and rural areas. He stated that the government's commitment to provide interest-free loans to another 100,000 families in the upcoming fiscal year would be fulfilled.
He added that this programme is a significant step toward public welfare and social development. The vision of the CM Punjab is to provide every deserving family with a roof over their head.
