LAHORE:Police have safely recovered a Swiss national woman allegedly kidnapped after arriving in Lahore and arrested suspects involved in the case.

According to police, Sofia Maria Miller arrived in Lahore from the United States on a Turkish Airlines flight. Concerns over her disappearance arose shortly after she reached Lahore Airport.

Following a complaint lodged by her Nepali husband, Sarwar Road Police registered a kidnapping case and launched an investigation.Police traced and recovered the woman within a few hours from a hotel in Bahria Town.

According to the spokesperson for the DIG (Operations), preliminary investigations suggest that the woman may have fallen victim to fraudulent tour operators.Police have widened the scope of the investigation to determine all facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.The DIG directed the SP Cantonment to verify all aspects of the case and ensure a thorough investigation.
