Inter-School Qira’at competition

LAHORE:An annual inter-school Qira’at competition was organised by a private school here, where speakers highlighted the importance of promoting Quran recitation and strengthening students’ attachment with the Holy Quran.

The event was presided over by Professor Abdul Mannan Khurram, while Chairman of the Muttahida Ulema Board, Dr Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori, attended as the chief guest.More than 80 campuses participated in the competition.

In the junior category, Abdul Rehman secured the first position, while Hareem Zahra and Muhammad secured second and third positions, respectively.In the middle category, Dua Zahid and Robeesa jointly secured the first position.Minal Shiraz stood second, while Hareem Liaquat obtained the third position.In the senior category, Abu Bakar Khalid won the first position, Aliza Zahra secured the second position and Hafiz Ahmad claimed the third position.
