LAHORE:The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Friday organised a special ceremony to commemorate Marka-e-Haq at its Jinnah Campus, Kala Shah Kaku, where Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ahsan Waheed Rathore led a walk and addressed students, faculty members and staff on the importance of patriotism, discipline and national service. The event began with flag-hoisting and the national anthem recitation.
During the walk, participants chanted slogans to express solidarity with the armed forces and the country. An indoor session was later held where students presented speeches and patriotic songs. Addressing the gathering, Prof Rathore said that Marka-e-Haq was not merely a reminder of military success but a symbol of 'national honour, unity, sacrifice, faith and indomitable resolve.'
Meanwhile, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) organised week-long activities under the patronage of the vice chancellor.The Department of International Relations organised a seminar titled ‘Peace and Stability: The Role of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos in National Integration of Pakistan’.
The keynote speaker shared insightful views on peace, national cohesion, patriotism and the role of youth and academia in promoting social harmony, stability and unity in Pakistan.The session concluded with a strong message of unity, resilience and collective commitment towards a peaceful, progressive and stable Pakistan.
