LAHORE:The Punjab government has accelerated the province-wide sewerage desilting campaign ahead of monsoon season, while advanced monitoring features are being added to a digital dashboard to ensure effective oversight of field operations and urban flood preparedness.
A review meeting chaired by Housing Secretary Noor-ul-Amin Mengal was held to assess pre-monsoon arrangements, desilting operations and monitoring mechanisms. Wasa MDs from 41 districts attended the meeting through a video link.
The participants were informed that an upgraded mobile application would enable Wasa field staff to upload real-time data, photographs and progress reports, while the CM and senior officials would be able to monitor ongoing operations live through the digital dashboard.
