Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has launched an online admission portal for the academic session 2026-2027, aiming to streamline the application process and improve public access to Islamabad's government schools and colleges under its administrative control.
Officials said the portal had been made fully operational and is now accessible to the general public. According to them, the initiative is part of FDE’s broader effort to enhance transparency, convenience and efficiency in admissions.
The newly introduced platform allows applicants to view real-time seat availability across FDE institutions, helping them make informed choices. It also provides access to merit lists for various classes and schools, ensuring greater clarity in the selection process.
Besides, users can also search and select institutions based on specific facilities, including transport services, meal options, Early Childhood Education centres and the availability of morning and evening shifts.
The portal also offers information on Matric Tech programmes available in designated institutions. Officials said the platform included comprehensive admission guidelines and relevant details to assist applicants throughout the process.
They said the initiative showed the FDE's commitment to leveraging digital solutions to improve service delivery and ensure equitable access to quality education.
