Rawalpindi: Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) marked its Annual Safety Week 2026, from April 27-30, in line with International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) World Day for Safety and Health at Work theme: ‘Ensuring a Healthy Psychosocial Working Environment,’ says a press release.
ARL has been observing Safety Week for over two decades, reflecting its enduring commitment towards health, safety and environmental stewardship.
The opening ceremony was graced by M. Adil Khattak, chief executive officer, along with senior management, president of CBA and employees. In his address, CEO emphasised that fostering a psychosocially stable work environment is critical for safeguarding both personnel and plant operations, particularly in highly hazardous oil and gas sector. He reaffirmed ARL’s commitment to safety excellence, highlighting the milestone of 11 million safe man-hours as a testament to the company’s rigorous safety standards.
Following the ceremony, participants took part in a safety walk to underscore the importance of workplace safety and reinforce ARL’s commitment to maintaining a secure and supportive environment.
