LAHORE: A two-member bench of Lahore High Court (LHC), headed by Justice Shehbaz Rizvi, rejected petitions for suspension of sentences filed by PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhry in four cases related to May 9.
The court also dismissed Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed’s request for suspension of sentence in one May 9 case.
However, the court suspended sentence of Afzal Azeem Pahat in the case related to rioting at Sher Pao Bridge.
The accused are facing multiple cases, including charges of rioting and arson at Sher Pao Bridge. The Anti-Terrorism Court had earlier sentenced the accused to ten years of imprisonment each.
