ISLAMABAD: The federal government has issued orders regarding appointments, transfers and retirement of several civil and police officers.
According to various notifications issued by the Establishment Division, the tenure of Shahid Nadeem, Member of Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission, has been extended by one year, effective from December 21, 2025; Dr Muhammad Athar Waheed, a Grade 20 officer of Police Service of Pakistan who was awaiting posting, has been appointed to FIA (Federal Investigation Agency). Retirement orders have been issued for Additional IG Inam Ghani, a Grade-21 Police Service officer, who will retire from government service on April 26, 2026.
ASP Sarah Ali Hashmi, serving in Punjab government, has been transferred and directed to report to Establishment Division. Muhammad Saleem has been appointed as Legal Advisor in Establishment Division on a three-year contract under the MP-I scale. Jabar Khan has been appointed as Director General IT under the Ministry of Information Technology on a three-year contract.
