ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau Chairman Lt. Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed on Thursday underscored the government’s resolute stance against financial crimes and the critical necessity of reinforcing institutional frameworks to ensure national economic security.
The Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy (PACA), the specialised training wing of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), commenced the first Capacity Building Course (CBC-I) and an Intensive Mock Trial under its Annual Training Plan, 2026 which was inaugurated by NAB Chairman Lt. Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed. This programme was designed to help investigators and prosecutors better understand modern money laundering trends and laws. It aimed to give these professionals the tools and legal techniques they need to fight financial crimes effectively.
Addressing the participants of the training course, the NAB chairman described PACA as the vanguard of national accountability, emphasising that the complexities of modern governance demand a workforce that is not only skilled in traditional investigation but also proficient in international best practices.
