LAHORE:A 26-year old man who was critically injured during a minor altercation in the Shafiqabad area died, prompting police to convert the case from attempted murder to murder.
According to police, the victim, identified as Salman, had sustained serious head injuries after being attacked with an iron rod and a glass bottle during a dispute in Karim Park.He was shifted to Lahore Mayo Hospital, where he remained under treatment but later died.
Police said the suspect, identified as Talha, had already been booked in a case of attempted murder. Following the victim’s death, the charges will now be amended to include murder.
