LAHORE:The unidentified assailants opened fire on the car of a former judge and television host in City, injuring another man travelling with him.
According to officials, the incident occurred near Peco Road’s Pindi Stop when Justice (retd) Nazir Ahmed Ghazi was returning home after hosting a programme at a private TV channel office.
Two armed men riding a motorcycle allegedly ambushed the vehicle and fired multiple shots. Police said Justice (retd) Ghazi remained unhurt in the attack, while Maulana Amir Hamza, who was accompanying him, sustained a bullet injury to his arm. He was shifted to hospital.
A police contingent reached the scene after the incident, cordoned off the area. A case was registered.
