Kinnaird College hosts ‘Say No to Drugs’ awareness session

LAHORE: The Anti-Doping and Drug Committee of Kinnaird College, in collaboration with the Sports Department, successfully organized an awareness session titled “Say No to Drugs”. The initiative aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of drug use and to encourage a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Masha Asad Khan, Chairperson of the Anti-Drug and Tobacco Committee, and Dr. Ammara Rubab, Head of the Sports Department, along with faculty members and a large number of students. The session featured active participation from attendees, reflecting the importance of the topic among youth.

Guest speaker Ms. Ayesha Waqas highlighted the physical, psychological, and social consequences of substance abuse, urging students to make informed and responsible choices. She emphasized that awareness is particularly crucial for young people and athletes, who are often vulnerable to the pressures of performance and peer influence.

Kinnaird College reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a safe and informed academic environment. By organizing such initiatives, the institution continues to provide comprehensive knowledge on critical issues like drug prevention, ensuring that students are empowered to lead healthier and more responsible lives.
