LAHORE:Parks and Horticulture Agency (PHA) and Beaconhouse School System will launch a tree plantation drive from today (Monday) under which thousands of saplings will be planted at different PHA sites in the City.
Under the campaign, students from Beaconhouse Defence (BDC), Walton and Ring Road campuses will participate in the activity under the guidance of PHA Director Abdullah Nisar Cheema. They will plant saplings at the PHA Ring Road site in the Allama Iqbal International Airport area and Nawaz Sarif Interchange Ring Road.—APP
The campaign is part of the curriculum in which students are encouraged to take part in social work besides creating awareness on the environmental challenges faced by Pakistan, BDC Headmistress Qurat ul Ain Shahid told APP here Sunday.
