LAHORE:Former president of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Ali Mian paid tribute to Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their remarkable leadership, stating that Pakistan’s political and military leadership played a historic role in saving the world from a potentially devastating war and global destruction through timely and courageous diplomatic efforts.
The prudent leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir led to an extraordinary breakthrough, as Iran and the United States showed willingness to agree to a ceasefire. The selection of Islamabad for negotiations reflects the strong global confidence in Pakistan’s diplomatic credibility and responsible role. The former LCCI president said that in the prevailing global environment, when the region was facing intense tensions and the situation could have escalated into a major international conflict at any moment, the timely intervention of Pakistan’s leadership played a decisive role in averting the catastrophic threat of a possible nuclear war.
He stated that appreciation from countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Canada for Pakistan’s positive and responsible role is clear evidence that the country is strengthening its position as a dignified, responsible and peace-loving status on the global stage.
