Art exhibition celebrates creativity of women artists

An art exhibition titled “Feminists Charisma VI by Talented Women Artists” was held at the Art Citi Gallery, showcasing the creativity and vision of women artists.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Arts Council President Mohammad Ahmed Shah, who highlighted the importance of art in reflecting various dimensions of society. He said that global realities are often expressed through diverse artistic styles and colours, adding that women artists bring a strong aesthetic sensibility to their work.

He appreciated the originality and fresh ideas displayed in the exhibition and congratulated the participating artists on their work. He also expressed confidence that collectors would take interest in the exhibition, noting that the gallery provides a platform for both established and emerging artists.

Curated by renowned artist Samina Mumtaz, the exhibition featured around 60 artworks by 25 women artists. The displayed pieces explored themes such as feminine beauty and natural landscapes.

Among the attendees were Sindh Assembly Member and Secretary Local Government Mohammad Qasim Soomro, along with Tanveer Farooqi, Jimmy Engineer, and a large number of art enthusiasts.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Qasim Soomro underscored the importance of youth, describing them as a valuable asset for the nation. He said that proper guidance and training could bring positive change to society and that such platforms offer young people opportunities to learn, gain experience, and showcase their talent.

The exhibition featured works by several artists, including Afsheen Waqas, Aniqa Fatima, Annal Haque, Arusha Javed, Asma Baig, Azra Wahab, Fasiha Farooq, Fauzia Khan, Hajra Mansoor, Hafsa Sheikh, Laiba Maqsood, Naureen Usmani, Nida Fatima, Noshina Rind, Rahab Naqvi, Razia Sahar, Sadia Arif, Sahar Atta, Saher Shah Rizvi, Saima Aamir, Samina Mumtaz, Shaima Umar, Shaista Momin, Sidra Sattar, Sohaina Elia, Sunbal Sajid, Syeda Nadia Raza, Sabeen Rashid, and Zainab Taj.
