LAHORE : Police have registered a case after a man was injured in a firing incident in the Sanda area.
The FIR was lodged on the complaint of the injured citizen, identified as Rana Saqlain. According to the complaint, suspects Mian Imran and Ahmed alias PK were nominated in the case.
The complainant alleged that Ahmed opened fire on him at the instigation of Mian Imran because he had earlier testified in a case related to an extortion demand. Police have yet to make any arrests in the matter.
Meanwhile, a firing incident near Lal Pul in the Harbanspura area came under police scrutiny after a video of the episode surfaced on social media.
According to police officials, a motorcyclist allegedly opened fire at a group of youths near Lal Pul. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. CCTV footage of the episode also emerged. Police said that no formal complaint has been received so far. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran took notice of the incident and sought a report from the SP Cantt regarding the matter.
