LAHORE: Pakistan People's Party Lahore President Faisal Mir has described President Asif Ali Zardari's recent visit to China as extremely significant and decisive for Pakistan's future, stating that the trip was not merely diplomatic in nature but represented a clear mission aimed at economic revival, regional stability, and strategic consolidation.

In his statement, Faisal Mir said that owing to President Zardari's strong personal ties with Chinese leadership, Pakistan successfully acquired the JF Thunder 17 and Chinese missiles that played a fundamental role in defeating India.

He added that President Zardari's meetings with Chinese leadership will play a vital role in accelerating the next phase of CPEC, fostering industrial cooperation, advancing agricultural modernisation and generating new opportunities for technological development.
