The Sindh government has reappointed Murad Ali Soni as justice of peace within the limits of Karachi’s District East for a period of one year, effective from March 14.
According to an official notification issued by Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Iqbal Memon, the reappointment is subject to the condition that the appointee would perform his services and duties strictly in accordance with sections 22-A and 22-B of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1898, as well as the Justice of Peace (Appointment, Duties, Functions & Conduct) Rules, 2017.
The notification also states that he would not display the justice of peace logo on any vehicle used by him during his tenure. The reappointment will remain valid for one year from the effective date, subject to compliance with the prescribed rules and regulations.
