The Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has released the 10th edition of its Red Book, a comprehensive document containing updated information on the province’s most-wanted terrorists and militant networks. The newly issued edition is aimed at strengthening intelligence-sharing and enhancing ongoing counterterrorism efforts.

According to CTD officials, the Red Book spans 203 pages and contains critical information about terrorists associated with various banned organisations, including details of suspects carrying head money or rewards for their capture. The latest edition includes updated profiles, photographs and operational details of wanted individuals linked to several proscribed militant groups.

Officials said that the newly revised document provides the latest information regarding terrorists associated with banned organisations such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, and various outlawed Baloch militant groups.

The purpose of the updated Red Book is to ensure that law-enforcement and intelligence agencies remain equipped with accurate and timely information to effectively monitor and counter extremist threats.

The Red Book also contains sensitive intelligence regarding terrorist networks, affiliations and operational patterns. According to CTD authorities, this information is considered crucial in assisting security forces during intelligence-based operations and investigations against militant elements active in different parts of the province and the country.

CTD officials emphasised that the latest edition has been developed with modern and updated information to improve the identification, tracking and arrest of terrorists. By providing a detailed and organised record of wanted suspects, the publication is expected to strengthen coordination between different security and law-enforcement agencies. The authorities further stated that one of the primary objectives of releasing the updated Red Book is to improve the exchange of intelligence among agencies and maintain strict surveillance over the movement and activities of wanted militants. Enhanced coordination, officials believe, will contribute significantly to preventing terrorist activities and dismantling extremist networks.

According to the CTD, the 10th edition of the Red Book will play an important role in making ongoing counterterrorism operations in Sindh swifter and more effective.
