An alleged thief committed suicide by shooting himself in the office of a travel agency located in a bungalow near Khalid Bin Waleed Road on Tariq Road, fearing being caught.

According to details, on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, an alleged thief committed suicide by shooting himself in the office of a travel agency located in a bungalow near Khalid Bin Waleed Road on Tariq Road, Ferozabad, fearing being caught by the police.

SHO Adeel Afzal of Ferozeabad police station said that the alleged thief was identified as Muhammad Ali, who was an employee of the said travel agency. He entered the travel agency in the dark of night with the intention of stealing and had disconnected the CCTV cameras in the office.

However, the owner of the travel agency saw the suspect entering through a camera, on which he immediately informed the police. On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the travel agency and surrounded the office.

According to the SHO, upon the arrival of the police, the suspect locked himself in the washroom of the office and locked the door from inside. He possibly committed suicide by shooting himself out of fear of being caught by the police. The police have shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital for legal action and postmortem. However, investigations are underway from various angles into the incident.

Injured person identified as robber: Karachi police have identified a suspected robber who was injured during a shooting incident in the Pak Colony area, bringing to light several important revelations during the investigation, according to police officials.

The incident took place yesterday when a man identified as Ehsan alias Shanu sustained bullet injuries under mysterious circumstances. Initially, the injured man told police that unidentified robbers had opened fire on him. However, as investigators probed deeper into the case, his statement reportedly raised suspicions, prompting further inquiry.

According to police officials, investigations revealed that Ehsan alias Shanu is allegedly a wanted suspect linked to the notorious Arshad Dada gang war group. Authorities claimed that the accused has a criminal history and has been allegedly involved in several serious crimes, including robbery, murder, attempted murder and other violent offenses.

During questioning, the accused reportedly made significant disclosures about the incident. Police said Shanu admitted that he had been attempting to carry out a robbery along with one of his accomplices in the Pak Colony area at the time of the shooting. During the alleged robbery attempt, an unidentified passerby reportedly opened fire, injuring him before fleeing the scene.

Following the suspect’s identification and disclosures, police conducted further action and recovered a pistol allegedly used in the incident from a house located in Old Golimar. Investigators are now trying to trace the accomplice involved in the attempted robbery and gather more details about the unidentified person who opened fire.
