11 SHOs served with show-cause notices

PESHAWAR: An official said the show-cause notices were issued to the SHOs of Phandu, Gulbahar, Matani, Pahari Pura, Nasir Bagh, Bhana Mari, Kotwali, Shah Qabul, Tatara and Shahpur police stations, based on poor performance and public complaints.

Also, for negligence and mismanagement, the in-charge of the police post Corporation, the ASI of Kotwali Police Station, the PASI of Nasir Bagh, the additional muharrar of Shah Qabul police station, and the constable of Nasir Bagh Police Station were suspended and orders were issued to close to the police line. The in-charge of the Gulabad Chowki of Bhana Mari, the driver constable of Sarband police station and the constable of Shahpur police station were also closed to the police lines.

CCPO Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad, while chairing a meeting, made it clear that no compromise will be made on discipline, strict implementation of the principles of reward and punishment. He directed to make honesty and public service the top priority.

The meeting was attended by Chief Traffic Officer Dr Zahidullah, SSP Operations Farhan Khan, SSP Investigation Ayesha Gul, Commandant Campus Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Divisional SPs, SDPOs and SHOs.

The CCPO directed the officials to further intensify uninterrupted operations against criminal elements, especially street crimes, drug peddlers, declared criminals, unregistered tenants, arms exhibition, private gunners. He said that the scope of search and strike operations should be expanded throughout the district.Instructions were issued to make the security of mosques and public places more effective during the hours of Iftar, Taraweeh prayers and Sehri during the holy month of Ramazan.
