I wish to highlight the growing financial strain faced by ordinary citizens as inflation continues to rise during the holy month of Ramazan. A time meant for reflection, generosity and community spirit has increasingly become a period of stress for many families struggling to manage basic household expenses. For countless households, the simple act of preparing Iftar and Sehri has become a challenge as prices of essential food items continue to surge. Many parents are forced to compromise on necessities, while daily wage earners feel the pressure most intensely. The rising cost of living not only affects physical well-being but also takes an emotional toll, diminishing the joy that Ramazan is meant to bring.

There is an urgent need for the authorities to ensure strict price monitoring, prevent hoarding and provide relief measures so that people can observe this sacred month with dignity and peace of mind.
