MANSEHRA: A transgender person belonging to the tribal district of Upper Kurram was found dead in a hotel room here on Wednesday.
Azeem Khan, the owner of Green Hotel, while lodging a report with the Lari Adda Police Station, stated that a transgender person who used to beg at local bazaars and markets in the city and its suburbs was found dead in one of the rooms in the morning.
He said that the staff of his hotel knocked at the door in the morning to wake Syed Chan Akbar, but he did not respond.“As we pushed the door, he was found dead on his bed and we informed the police,” Azeem Khan added.The police shifted the body to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital and started an investigation to find out the exact cause of death.
