ABBOTTABAD: Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Amina Sardar of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Wednesday urged political leadership to adopt a serious, sustained and action-oriented approach to the Kashmir issue.

In a press statement issued on the occasion, Amina Sardar said that the Kashmir dispute should not be treated as a one-day reminder marked by routine speeches and formal observances, but as an ongoing humanitarian crisis requiring consistent national and international engagement.

“The Kashmir issue is a living reality directly linked to human rights, dignity, and the right to self-determination,” she said, adding that the people of Kashmir need more than emotional expressions - they require concrete measures and sustained political support.

The MPA said the leadership must develop a long-term strategy to keep the Kashmir issue alive at global forums. She called on Pakistan to repeatedly and firmly remind the international community of the continued human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir through organized, well-reasoned, and dignified advocacy.

Amina Sardar underlined that true solidarity demands treating Kashmir as a matter of policy rather than a slogan, raising a coherent voice against human rights abuses, and transforming Kashmir Solidarity Day from a symbolic observance into a consistent national position.
