PESHAWAR: The Private Education Network Pakistan has condemned an incident in which a female staff member allegedly slapped a student at a matriculation examination centre in Khanpur tehsil of Haripur.
Speaking to journalists, provincial president Muhammad Saleem Khan termed the incident unacceptable and lamentable, adding that such incidents were also being reported from other districts.
He alleged that certain policies introduced in the name of curbing cheating were creating psychological pressure on students.Saleem Khan urged the chief minister and education minister to take immediate notice of the situation, warning that students, parents and educational institutions could be compelled to protest if corrective measures were not taken.
