BARA: A literary gathering was organized at the Bara Press Club here on Sunday to pay rich tributes to late Pashto poet Qandahar Afridi.
The mushaira titled “Sparlay Pe Khyber Raghlay” was arranged under the auspices of the literary organization Maroof Karwan. Poets and writers, including Maroof Afridi, Waliat Khan, Riaz Afridi, Hazir Afridi, Umeed Afridi, Naseem Afridi, Firaq Afridi, Daryab Afridi, Mastana Afridi, Sher Zaman Saqib, Turab Afridi, Amanullah Afridi, Shafaq Afridi, Shaheen Sahar Afridi, Malik Attaullah Afridi, Abdul Wahid Afridi, Abid Afridi, Mohibullah Afridi and others, turned up at the gathering.
The event was dedicated to the memory of Qandahar Afridi, celebrating his contribution to Pashto poetry. The poets paid glowing tributes to Qandahar Afridi for his literary services and contribution to Pashto literature.
