ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against an individual accused of running a defamatory and intimidating social media campaign against a senior journalist.
NCCIA sources confirmed that the accused, named in the FIR, has been taken into custody. According to the FIR lodged with the NCCIA in Islamabad, the complainant stated that the accused, identified as Syed Zain Ali, used a Facebook account to post fabricated, malicious and abusive content aimed at damaging Rauf Klasra’s reputation, dignity and professional credibility. Investigation is under way.
