Three injured in Bannu ambulance firing

BANNU: Three people were injured on Wednesday when unidentified gunmen opened fire on an ambulance transporting a patient to Islamabad, police said.

The incident occurred at Speerka Chowk within the limits of Domel Police Station. According to police, armed assailants signaled the ambulance to stop. When the driver did not comply, the attackers opened indiscriminate fire, damaging the vehicle.

As a result, three occupants of the ambulance sustained injuries, while the patient and another staff member remained unhurt.The injured were identified as Mazhar Hussain of Jhang district, Shakir Ali of Karak district (currently residing in Islamabad), and Sheraz of Pakpattan. All three are employees of a private care centre in Islamabad.
