MANSEHRA: The Kaghan Development Authority has finalised plans to launch projects that will equally benefit indigenous communities and tourists thronging the Kaghan valley to experience its natural essence.
“The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government wants to promote tourism in Kaghan valley and the rest of the province, and we are going to launch such development projects that could boost the hospitality industry and provide better civic services to indigenous communities,” Rehmat Ali, the newly posted director general of KDA, told reporters here on Wednesday.
Rehmat Ali, who had assumed his official responsibilities earlier in the day, held a meeting with Deputy Director (Finance) Sohail Khan, Assistant Director, Planning, Assad Shahzad and Assistant Director, technical, Zahoor Ahmad.
He said it was happening for the first time that KDA would launch projects to promote agriculture, local culture, and road and other infrastructure for local dwellers who have been settled in Kaghan valley for centuries.
