400kg adulterated spices, unsafe ketchup seized

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority inspection team raided a spices manufacturing unit and recovered 400 kilograms of adulterated spices along with bran and unfit cooking oil.

A press release said the inspection teams carried out actions in different areas of Peshawar against units producing adulterated spices and fake tomato ketchup, seizing large quantities of unsafe food items and sealing the offending units.The operations were conducted following a tip-off.
