LAHORE : Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore Managing Director Raja Mansoor Ahmed said CM Punjab has a clear vision to make Lahore a clean, green and beautiful city, and its implementation remains the top priority. He said this while presiding over a meeting of PHA directors here on Tuesday.
The meeting was convened to review the ongoing measures for the beautification, cleanliness, and improvement of parks and green belts across the city. Addressing the meeting, the PHA MD directed all directors to ensure daily field visits and personally monitor the ongoing cleanliness and beautification works in parks.
Raja Mansoor issued clear instructions that green belts must not remain without grass under any circumstances and that no negligence in plantation and lawn maintenance will be tolerated. He also directed the authorities concerned to take strict and effective measures for the control of stray dogs in parks.
The MD said that the anti-smog campaign would continue with full vigor and that all available resources would be utilised to address environmental challenges.
He stressed upon the officers to perform their duties with dedication to provide citizens with a healthy and quality recreational environment.
All relevant directors and senior officers of PHA attended the meeting and gave detailed briefings on ongoing and upcoming projects.
