LAHORE:Consumers are at the mercy of shopkeepers in the absence of price regulating mechanism as new Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) has failed to implement official prices of commodities.
This week the price of live chicken was declined by Rs60 per kg, fixed at Rs309-323 per kg, but didn’t not sell in the city, and chicken meat by Rs87 per kg, was fixed at Rs468 per kg, sold at Rs520 to Rs580 per kg, and chicken boneless was sold at Rs800-950 per kg.
The price of potato soft skin new was reduced by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs80-85 per kg, sold at Rs140 per kg.The price of potato sugar free further reduced by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs32-35 kg, mixed sold at Rs80-100 per kg.
The price of onion was declined by Rs17 per kg, fixed at Rs105-113 per kg, mixed sold at Rs120-150 per kg.The price of tomato was further gained by Rs25 per kg, fixed at Rs130-140 per kg, sold at Rs180-220 per kg.
The price of garlic local new was reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs172-180 per kg, sold at Rs250-300 per kg, Garlic Harani gained by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs285-295 per kg, sold at Rs400 per kg, Garic China by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs400-420 per kg, sold at Rs600 per kg.
The price of both Ginger Tahi and China was further reduced by Rs50 per kg, fixed at Rs295-310 per kg, sold at Rs400-500 per kg.Cucumber Farm reduced by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs76-80 kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg, cucumber local was fixed at Rs95-100 per kg, sold at Rs200 per kg. Brinjal price was unchanged at Rs42-45 per kg, sold at Rs80-100 per kg.
Biter gourd was reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs57-60 per kg, sold at Rs100-140 per kg.The price Spinach was gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs33-35 sold at Rs50-70 per kg.
Zucchini local unchanged at Rs147-155 per kg, not sold, Zucchini Farm reduced by Rs20 per kg, was fixed at Rs38-40 per kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg, zucchini long by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs38-40 per kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg. The lemon China reduced by Rs10 per kg. fixed at Rs65-70 per kg, sold at Rs150-200 per kg. Pumpkin was reduced by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs62-65 per kg, sold at Rs100-140 per kg. Lady finger was unchanged at Rs95-100 per kg, sold at Rs300 per kg.
Luffa was reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at 57-60 per kg, not sold. Green chili gained by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs100-105 per kg, sold at Rs150-200 per kg.Capsicum declined by Rs85 per kg, fixed at Rs195-205 per kg, sold at Rs250-300 per kg. Price of cauliflower unchanged at Rs33-35 per kg, sold at Rs60-80 per kg, and cabbage stables at 152-160 per kg, sold at Rs180-200 per kg.Carrot Chinese increased by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs176-185 per kg, sold at Rs300 per kg, Carrot local reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs76-80 per kg, sold at Rs100-140 per kg.
