MINGORA: Rain coupled with thunder and lightning brought much-needed relief to residents across Swat district as it significantly reduced temperature and turned the weather pleasant on Monday,
According to reports, rainfall was recorded in Mingora city and its surrounding areas, as well as several other parts of the district. The showers helped ease the recent heatwave, allowing residents to enjoy cooler and more comfortable conditions.
Rain was also reported in Matta tehsil and adjoining localities, where residents welcomed the change in weather after days of intense heat.The precipitation freshened the atmosphere and led to a noticeable drop in temperature across the region.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast further rainfall in some areas over the next few hours.Meanwhile, the district administration advised citizens to avoid unnecessary visits to streams, rivers and seasonal waterways as a precautionary measure during the rainy weather.
