LAHORE:The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) has conducted the second phase of the Combined Admission Test (ECAT-2026) for Undergraduate Fall Admissions 2026.
The computer-based test was held from June 17 to June 21, 2026, in multiple sessions simultaneously at UET Lahore, its constituent campuses, and partner institutions across Punjab.Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Munir, accompanied by faculty members, visited various examination centres to review the arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the test.
According to a spokesperson for UET Lahore, a total of 24,288 candidates appeared in ECAT-2026 (Phase-II). Each test session had a duration of 100 minutes, and to facilitate candidates, the examination was conducted without negative marking.
The results of ECAT-2026 (Phase-II) will be announced on June 23, 2026, after which the online admission application process will commence. Applicants will be allowed to make necessary amendments to their already submitted applications from July 12 to July 14, 2026, upon payment of a processing fee of Rs1,500. The last date for submission of online admission applications is July 15, 2026.
The first merit lists for undergraduate admissions will be displayed on July 24, second merit list will be displayed on August 7, third on August 14 while the fourth merit list will be displayed on August 21, 2026.
Students who secure admission and join the university will be allowed to apply for a one-time change in programme preference from August 28 to August 30, 2026, upon payment of a fee of Rs1,500. The merit list based on revised preferences will be announced on September 1, 2026.Regular classes for newly-admitted undergraduate students will start on September 7, 2026.
