It is the responsibility of traffic police to ensure smooth flow of traffic for the ease of commuters. However, there is a check post on main GT road near Taxila that is usually unmanned and this is causing huge traffic jams in the morning and evening, with long queues forming at the check post.
This situation is resulting in considerable delay for the commuters. The relevant authorities are required to look in to the issue and install check posts only if they are needed to maintain security. Otherwise, just blocking roads is very troublesome for commuters.
