Islamabad:The Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), has officially launched an online birth and death registration service through the Pak App. The new digital service aims to streamline access to essential civic services, allowing residents of the federal capital to complete crucial registration processes from their homes.

Under the newly introduced initiative, citizens can submit their applications for both birth and death registrations entirely online. The platform integrates secure digital payment options, allowing applicants to clear processing fees remotely and subsequently receive their digital certificates without the need to physically visit any MCI office.

Chief Officer of the MCI, Dr. Anam Fatima, stated that the initiative is a core component of the corporation's ongoing efforts to advance digital governance, enhance overall service delivery, and minimize public inconvenience. She noted that by leveraging modern technology, the new system establishes a transparent, efficient, and hassle-free registration process that remains accessible to the public at any time and from any location.
