12 candidates file papers for AJK polls

Rawalpindi: Twelve candidates have filed nomination papers for the two refugee seats in Rawalpindi for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, with 5 from Valley-4 and 7 from Valley-5.

The number of registered votes in both the constituencies are more than 10,000. In the phase of filing nomination papers, PML-N’s Muhammad Ahmed Raza Qadri and Muhammad Yasin Lone, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Muhammad Hanif Dar, Muslim Conference candidate Mehr-un-Nisa, PPP’s Zeeshan Mehdi, Hamza Majeed Bazmi, Abdul Hameed Babu, Rashid Islam Butt and Khawaja Zafar Shahzad have also filed nomination papers.
