LAHORE:Disciplinary action has been taken against a doctor for uploading objectionable content on his social media account. Nishtar Hospital Multan has immediately terminated the house job of Dr Ali for uploading objectionable content on his social media account.
The spokesperson for the Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education said that no health professional is allowed to upload objectionable content on social media.The above act prima facie falls under the category of misconduct. This act was considered a violation of the government rules, regulations, laws and code of conduct applicable to House Officers and trainee doctors serving in government health institutions. Dr Ali was served notice for personal hearing and he was given a full opportunity of personal hearing on Thursday in accordance with the principles of justice. After reviewing the available records, evidence and the explanation given by the House Officer, it was concluded that the allegations against him are proven.
